Top 3 Easy Immigration Routes to Newfoundland and Labrador

Top 3 Easy Immigration Routes to Newfoundland and Labrador

Canada, the maple leaf country, is always the first choice for immigrants and the reasons are quite understandable.

Who doesn’t want the best lifestyle, abundant job opportunities, free healthcare benefits, free educational benefits, safe cities, and beautiful scenes, all in one pack!

Yes, we are talking about Canada!

But Canada is the second-largest country in the world in terms of area, with 10 provinces and 3 territories in it. So, the question here arises, “which province is the best for immigration?”

Well, there is no particular answer to it because no province is less than others. It depends on the purpose that you are immigrating for.

Why should you consider Newfoundland & Labrador as your immigration destination?

  • Located on the coast of Atlantic Canada, Newfoundland & Labrador is one of the most peaceful provinces with the least population but with a good touch of all the modern facilities, city life, nature, wildlife, and ocean as well.

  • But Canada is furiously growing its economy and that needs each of its provinces to grow as well. But the fewer population in the province results in a lack of skilled workers and is the very same reason for the province to welcome thousands of international skilled workers to permanently work and reside in the province.

So, without any further delay, let’s have a look at the top 3 easy immigration routes to Newfoundland & Labrador.

Provincial Nominee Program- This program is designed for the provinces to independently nominate and accept immigrants according to the province’s requirements. The Federal Government has no role in it.

So, the best program to enter Newfoundland & Labrador is the province’s nominee program. But, there are many routes or sub-categories that come under these Provincial Nominee Programs.

So, without any further delay, let’s have a look at the top 3 easy immigration routes that you can use to apply for the Newfoundland & Labrador Provincial Nominee Program.

Skilled Worker Category

Skilled Worker Category is one of the most famous routes to immigrate to Newfoundland & Labrador that require you to have a job as well. The province’s employers can nominate skilled immigrants who are eligible under the skilled worker category according to the province’s job demand.

Eligibility-

  • You should hold a permanent job offer from the province’s employer that meets the province’s wage and employment standards

  • You should have the required educational qualifications and documents to prove them

  • You also have to prove that you have the intention to permanently stay and work in Newfoundland & Labrador

  • Have a work permit of at least 6 months issued by the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada

  • You also have to show that you are enough financially stable to support yourself in the initial days of your immigration. Bank statements and other financial documents are required.

  • Must have the required IELTS score or other language test score.

Express Entry Skilled Worker Category

It is the fastest way to immigrate to the province within a time period of 6 months. However, the eligibility criteria are noted below-

Eligibility-

  • You should hold a job offer from a company in Newfoundland & Labrador that meets government standards for employment and wages, with a valid work permit.
  • Hold a score of 67 points out of 100 on the Provincial Nomination Program Assessment Grid.
  • Show the educational documents that prove that your foreign degrees hold equal values according to the Canadian Educational System.
  • Show proof of enough funds to support yourself and your family in the initial days of the immigration.
  • Show IELTS or related language test results with the passing scores.

Priority Skills Category

This newly created program focuses on the below categories to fulfill their job vacancies.-

  • Technology
  • Healthcare
  • Agriculture
  • Aquaculture

Eligibility-

  • You should hold a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in the past 3 years in one of the four specialties mentioned above.

  • Work experience of a minimum of one year in the last 10 years is required.

  • IELTS score or relevant language test scores that must cross the benchmark.

  • You should be at least 21 years old and should prove your interest in staying and working in Newfoundland & Labrador.

There are over 100s of immigration programs in Canada, so choosing the right one for yourself is crucial and equally confusing. So, it is important to consult the best Canadian Immigration Consultants for making the right decision as they can help you with their years of expertise in the matter.

How to Apply for the Provincial Nominee Programs?

Yes, you can apply to join multiple PNP programs, but if you are obtaining a PNP Canadian visa from another province, you must choose the province you want this and apply for more than one province will also cost you, which is non-refundable.

But you can only accept one and precede it with Universal Adviser Migration Services.

When you pass through the Canada PNP Programs or the province of Quebec, sign the signature that you intend to settle in that province. In the application process, the officer has to be 100% satisfied with your intentions to reside.

If you haven't even stayed in the province for a day, the provincial plan may say that you lied in the statement. If you end up staying in this province and staying there for a while, it will be difficult for them to prove that you lied to your testimony.

I have never heard of anyone being convicted by the PNP or Quebec for not being here. I have not received any news from anyone who was denied citizenship because of this.

If I were I would still be careful, I will end up in the correct province and give the address there Take a PR card, apply for one year, and stay for a period of time.

There are no restrictions on the PR card. This is PR Canada, not PR QC or any other province of PR. There is the so-called Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which stipulates that permanent residents have the right to live and work in any province in Canada.

If that is not possible, most provincial nominations will require a job offer in your province.

If you have multiple vacancies from different provinces, theoretically you can apply for multiple PNPs.

However, only a few federal states apply without a job offer in their own state. I think only three provinces do this: Saskatchewan, Prince Edward Island, and Manitoba.

The other two do not require a job offer, but before you apply, you must receive their declaration of interest (NOI) through your EE. These are Nova Scotia and Ontario

You cannot apply at any time in these two provinces. In theory, you can think that you can participate in all three provinces at the same time. But then again, when you read their website, they set different qualifications.

An important condition for Manitoba regarding this issue is that there are no other PNP applications in the process. So, Manitoba is already out of the options for multiple PNP applications. You have only two options: Saskatchewan immigrant nominee program (SINP) and Prince Edward City {Prince Edward Island Canada PNP}

Saskatchewan only accepts EOI from people in their in-demand occupation list which is unfortunately not exhaustive as the list is short. So you have to be in one of those occupations first to be eligible.

PEI also has a list of occupations in-demand but is more exhaustive compared to Saskatchewan. Thus, unless your occupation is both in the list, you can apply on both, otherwise, it seems PEI is the most “open” PNP path.
